Happy Birthday to me..Happy Birthday to me

Do I feel any older?..of course I don't..I still feel the same as I did when I was sixteen!..minus a few little ailments I've picked up along the years.

I have money to indulge next week, music to listen to today while I work..(didn't plan that very well did I )..and perfume to spray on at intervals through the day to make me feel pretty.

Willow Sketchie Challenge today, I showed you the peek yesterday...here's the full card.

I did experiment with this card, I've never used ProMarkers to colour in a solid "sketchy" background but, I think it works and always love to see grey and pink together.

Here's what I did:

1. Print off Fairy Bella download onto a A4 piece of white card, trim to size and colour background using the chisel end of Warm Grey 1 ProMarker, mount onto white card and trim leaving a small border.

2. Colour image using ProMarkers: Carmine, Amethyst, Spice, Rose Pink, Ice Grey 2, Blush, Satin, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink.

3. Using a glue pen, add glitter flocking powder to wings.

4. Add ribbon around a length of white card and fix onto the front of a pink base card.

5. Add a punched border to a strip of spotty card and fix across .

6. Mount image onto card front, add a ribbon and chipboard embellishments to finish.

Sneaky Peek

It's been almost a whole week since I last blogged, where did that go to? It's quite funny cause I do miss it, recording thoughts, ideas, memories. I miss looking back on the days and so much has happened this week...

The new Facebook Group I ♥ ProMarkers have got their fabby design team chosen, go check them out (click on the T-shirt in the side bar). We are lucky enough to have the challenges sponsored by Letraset and I feel very lucky to have been able to put together a selection of bespoke collections as prizes...(our first challenge kicks off Wed. 15th July)

The 9th of July is not only a brand new Willow Sketchie Challenge but....it's my birthday!!...nothing much planned but, I'm hopefully taking a few days of next week where I will travel, eat cake, spend money on pretty crafty items and hopefully sit in the sun and sip wine.

A little sunny walk.

Sorry I haven't been around much these past few days...I've been catching up on some commissions that needed doing.

So.........I haven't got no crafty makes to share but..I do have a few pics I managed to take today.

I always forget to take the camera out with me but..the sun reminded me today, a day not to be missed.

A bit too hot to walk today really but..we needed to fill our lungs with fresh air and to break free from this computer for half an hour.

Craftbubble Challenge Card

Up and around early this morning, trying to bag myself a bargain on two bedside tables, I could think of worse things to do on a Saturday (like tidy this room up!)..I will leave it to rot for another few hours ;)

Sick and tired of the same old card shape, I thought I would experiment with this one. Do pop over to Craftbubble and join us in the Let's Get Stamping group. The sketch this week is by the lovely Katie and it meant I could have some fun with my circular shapes again! This week all cards have been designed using our newest download, Fairy Bella. Having a few technical difficulties at this end so probably won't be on site until tomorrow. The twist for this weeks challenge: to create a border and add some glitter.........perfect, been a while since I've added glitter to anything.

ProMarkers used: Blush, Ivory, Blossom, Olive Green, Cinammon, Ivory, Pastel Pink, Lilac, Meadow Green, Cool Aqua.

To look at it front on, seems nothing unusual, take a side profile view at it's quirky appearance.

I think I shall make more of these over the coming weeks ;)

Sneaky Peek

This is going to be a very short post as I've had a "can't be ar**d" day which has been very unproductive and I HATE that...my room..A MESS, my computer..been a STROPY DIVA so..I've thrown in the flag for the day and hope tomorrow sheds new light on a pile of STUFF.

I've been using my PM's again today, for my challenge card on Craftbubble..(link at the side), I have decided, using a white gel pen for a highlight is not the way to go FOR ME. I am going to treat them as I would if I were painting a watercolour picture so, any highlights I want to show, I'm simply going to leave streaks of white showing through from the white base card.

THe more and more I'm using them, I want to move away from solid blocks of colour and want to introduce some looseness in the colouring which..I think will make the designs come more to life..keep tuning in for the updates on that!

My Challenge Card

As I mentioned briefly yesterday, today's Willow Sketchie Challenge card was going to be part of a challenge over at I ♥ Promarkers Group on Facebook.

ProMarkers used: Cool Aqua, Lilac, Ivory, Blush, Dusky Pink, Canary, Pastel Pink, Cinnamon, Meadow Green, Olive Green and fineliner 0.1

Part of the challenge over at I ♥ ProMarkers was to use you PM's to ink up all or part of a stamp instead of an ink pad, here's what I did (no stamps were harmed in the making of this card ;0)

Sneaky Peek

Tomorrow is another brand new Willow Sketchie Challenge on our blog. I'm excited this week as Dawny P has another one of her yummy sketches to follow AND we have the additions to the DT..Deanne and Lynsey..(cept Lynsey is on her jollies and won't be with us until 9th July...MY BIRTHDAY..WOOP WOOP..not long now!).

So..we are all using our new Grace Download and everyone's is sooooooo beautifully different, I can't wait to show you them!
